Slime Rancher is an indie game programed and published by Monomi Park on 01/August/2017 where you play as Beatrix LeBeau who just moved to the far far range, a planet 100 light years away from earth where she tries to make a living out of raising slimes, the alien species native to this planet
It's also one of my comfort games that I have spent a ton of hours on so I know a lot of things that can help you progress and I wanted to share some of that knowlodge with anyone that might just recently be starting, keep in mind that I haven't played the sequel (not available for my console) so this is only meant to be used for the first game
The main method of obtaining newbucks is by selling your plorts in the market, every once in a while the value of each plort will increase or decrease depending on how often you sell them (for example if you sell 100 pink plorts in day 1 they're going to be cheaper on day 2 meanwhile if you haven't sold any puddle plorts in the past 5 days they will be more expensive) however each plort has a maximum and minimum value they can be worth

Largos are what happens when a slime eats a plort unlike it's own which turns it into a fusion of both, they are bigger than regular slimes, have the same diet as the 2 slimes that form it and produce twice as much plorts which makes them way more effective to ranch than regular slimes since you can get more plorts using less food and space, but not all largo combinations are as useful so I decide which slimes to fuse using the following criteria:
Diet Carnivorous slimes are harder to take care of becuase the rarity of roostros and the fact henhens produce less chickadoos when the coops are too full makes meat more complex to farm so I always combine carnivorous slimes with herbivorous slimes because of how much easier they are to feed
Behavior Some slimes have special abilities that make them harder to ranch like quantum dissapearing, phosphor flying dervish creating tornados, boom exploding, etc... so it's easy to see why fusing 2 problematic slimes wouldn't be a good idea unless you want a more challenging experience
Amount If you have too many largos they will be harder to feed and will overcrowd your corral and escape but if you have too few they will barely give you any plorts and the food you give them will probably expire before they even eat it so you have to find an amount of largos per corral that's the perfect middle ground, to me that ammont is 6 but I encourage you to experiment with bigger/lower numbers until you find one that's good for your especific playstyle
