Like any other cringe young teen during the late 2010s and early 2020s there was a time period in my life where I got really attached to a fictional character and I created an OC (who was really just a self-insert but I was too ashamed to admit it) so I could pretend they were dating, recently I found a document with all of my OC's information I made back in 2022/2023 (don't remeber the exact date) and I got super nostalgic about so I wanted to make a remastered version of my silly little OC x Canon couple for old time's sake

By reading that previous paragraph you might be wondering which fictional character I'm talking about and to answer your question it's Tokoyami from My Hero Academia! back when the show trended in the pandemic I watched because I was bored and it looked fun and for the first season I thought it was decent, I wasn't that big of a fan mainly because I found Bakugo completely unbearable (and I kind of still do..) and since he was such an important character it was hard to just ignore him but the world building was interesting enough to stay for another season and I decided that if the show didn't fully capture me by season 2 than I would drop it and it was as if god himself heard me say that because a few episodes into season 2 they introduce this super cool goth raven that speaks in a really poetic and dramatic way, is really smart and has the most creative quirk seen so far?! holy fuck, I feel in love the second he appeared on screen

Personality

He's a mix between a self-insert and a completely original character since a lot of his character is based on myself but I still believe he's distintic enough from me to be considered his own character

Kaito is a very chill and laid-back guy who acts without thinking twice and is comically unbothered, he just wants to have fun and doesn't like overthinking stuff too hard so he can act impulsively and have a pretty black and white point of view of the world, he might come off as apathetic or uninterested but that couldn't be further from the truth, he just has his priorities on the wrong places and has a hard time properly expressing himself so he never has an appropiate reaction to anything, he either overreacts to something that isn't a big deal or underreacts to life-altering events

Rats are his favorite animal, when asked why he says they "bonded over a shared hatred of cats" (get it? because dogs VS cats & rats VS cats are really common tropes in cartoons), Aizawa doesn't find this joke amusing in the slightest...
Loves Sadako (the girl from "The Ring" with hair covering her entire face) and sometimes likes to crawl out of TVs while imitating her (specially during Halloween season)
