History

I want to begin this section by saying that I'm not an expert in music so I might say something really stupid and wrong and not realize it, you should also check out Caminus' sax corner for a shrine made by another saxophone lover who's more knowledgeable on the topic

Saxophones are an instrument created by Adolphe Sax in the 1840s, they're incredibly versatile being a perfect mix of woodwind and brass instruments by combining the gracefulness and strenght in those 2 respective families, they can be found across tons of different genres like jazz, classical, orchestras, rock, marching bands, military bands, etc...

They first gained popularity in french and belgian military bands

Why do I like them so much?

They're just a really fun instrument, I adore how loud they can be, it makes them feel so powerful and it really adds a ton of life to any song, I appreciate how versatile they are which lets them be used in tons of diferent contexts both comedic and dramatic, I don't have any deep or complex reasons to like them, it just make me smile everytime I find them on a song :]

Hall of fame

Amazing songs with a saxophone, if you know any other songs that fit this description send a message on my guestbook, e-mail or whatever so I can include it here :D if you noticed I made a mistake and included a song that doesn't have an actual saxophone but rather a different instrument that sounds similar to a saxophone please let me know so I can fix it
